Ripple’s native XRP coin hasn’t transcended beyond the $1.50 resistance line, still hovering just above this key threshold. Statistics from multiple major exchanges, including Binance & Coinbase, confirm the bullish trend is driven by the high participation in leveraged markets. This has also pushed the Open Interest (OI) to enormous levels. On Binance, the 1.3% monthly growth in unsettled plays, otherwise known as Open Interest, now constitutes the biggest growth since August, 2025. However, there’s a clear distinction between following a rally and driving it. https://twitter.com/Darkfost_Coc/status/2104847582191042583 Paired With OI, Negative Cumulative Delta’s Still Bullish XRP’s bulls seem to be pursuing an aggressive trend towards XRP breaking from $1.50 towards the $1.80 resistance line. Another crucial metric is the Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD), spotted at ultra-low red levels across all major exchanges, sliding from -$2.27 billion to -$2.7 billion. The last fortnight saw Binance open interest climbing from about $210 million to $276.5 million, an increase of roughly 32%, according to latest research from CryptoQuant. Previously, this type of CVD setup resulted in bullish price turnovers. This OI change also looks familiar for the bulls. In April 2025, deeply negative funding preceded a roughly 65% rally from $1.60 to $2.65, while comparable bearish funding setups in late 2024 were followed by sharp upside rebounds. This implies the double-digit XRP’s price uptick occurred while aggressive sellers remained dominant across both Binance-led XRP Derivatives & the broader CEX spot market. XRP’s Bulls Are Still Getting Whipped Harder On Futures Futures markets have presented another challenge for XRP’s long-term price punters, otherwise known as bulls. The liquidations data showcase a $2.76 million liquidation figure among crypto bulls, in contrast to $1.97 million in liquidated short-seller bids. On one hand, the bullish momentum has attracted more investors, who have taken both long and short positions on XRP. On the other one, XRP’s price upswing from the August lows has sort of mechanically raised the value of open positions, CoinGlass data says.
