Shiba Inu’s exchange metrics are exhibiting an intriguing change, with the seven-day average exchange outflow showing one of the biggest shifts. The measure has increased by 191.89%, which may suggest that SHIB is moving away from trading platforms more frequently.

Two very different price scenarios are possible, though, because the overall exchange picture is still mixed. Rising outflows support the positive interpretation. Coins leaving exchanges, especially when holders move tokens into private wallets, can decrease the supply that is immediately available for sale.

The fact that exchange reserves have only grown by 0.5% indicates that there has not yet been a significant build-up of SHIB on exchanges as a result of the recent activity. Other signals are somewhat encouraging. Both active addresses and active receiving addresses saw increases of 0.89%.

While neither change signifies significant network growth, both demonstrate that on-chain activity is stable rather than declining. The bearish side, though, cannot be disregarded. The average inflow size increased by 1.9%, while total exchange inflows increased by 1.71%.

Selling pressure stays under control

In the event that selling pressure is kept under control, buyers may be able to move the token closer to its next resistance levels. Increasing volume and a distinct breakout above the recent consolidation range would be necessary for a more robust recovery. The second scenario is far less favorable.

The positive outflow signal may become meaningless if higher exchange inflows start to translate into real selling. The likelihood of another support test would rise in tandem with declining demand and rising reserves. Although the on-chain signal has flashed green for the time being, this does not constitute a stand-alone bullish confirmation.

The average outflows increased by 191.89%, which is encouraging, but the average inflows increased by 354.32% at the same time, indicating a tug-of-war between potential selling and accumulation.
