Bitcoin price fell 3.72% to $82,911 over 24 hours as leveraged positions unwound and global markets faced renewed pressure.

The decline coincided with rising oil prices, higher Treasury yields, and reports of heavy losses across precious metals. Attention now turns toward Federal Reserve minutes and Bitcoin’s ability to defend support.
Bitcoin Price Crashes Below $83K as Gold and Silver Lose $400 Billion
Bitcoin price retreated from roughly $86,600 overnight, extending losses after repeated failures near $87,000. That area has rejected three advances since September 23, reflecting repeated difficulty sustaining upward momentum. The latest decline renewed focus on support directly below $83,000.

An accompanying market alert estimated Gold and Silver lost $400 billion in combined value within ten minutes. That estimate could not be independently verified, and it describes valuation changes rather than confirmed withdrawals. Higher yields also increased pressure on gold, which offers no interest income.
Crypto Market Sheds $100 Billion as Liquidations Reach $700 Million
The latest market snapshot showed crypto capitalization falling 3.85% to $2.82 trillion over 24 hours. That percentage decline implies approximately $113 billion in lost market value.

Ethereum price, Solana, Dogecoin, and XRP also moved lower as selling spread across major cryptocurrencies.

According to CoinGlass data, there were $697.02 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours. Long positions represented $644.52 million, highlighting the impact on traders positioned for further gains. These totals cover multiple assets and do not establish $500 million in Bitcoin liquidations alone.
Oil and Treasury Yields Surge as Markets Await Fed Minutes
Brent crude climbed above $101 per barrel, while the ten-year Treasury yield reached 5.35% during Wednesday’s trading. A stronger dollar accompanied the move, adding pressure across financial markets ahead of the policy update. Rising energy costs complicated inflation expectations as renewed Middle East supply concerns unsettled investors.

That brings the total move since the pre-Iran War low to +143 basis points.

The Federal Reserve scheduled its September meeting minutes for release on October 7. Officials raised the benchmark rate by 25 basis points last month, taking the range to 3.75%–4.00%.
Will BTC Price Hold Above $82k Support Level
Bitcoin’s immediate support zone sits around $82,000, with $81,000 becoming important if the decline continues.

A confirmed four-hour close below $81,000 could expose $80,000, near an earlier consolidation area. Further weakness would put $78,000 back in focus, based on Bitcoin’s previous trading range.

The Relative Strength Index stood at 33, approaching the conventional oversold threshold of 30.

The MACD line measured minus 280.33, below its signal line at 67.21. The histogram stood at minus 347.54, showing a widening gap between the two readings.

A recovery would first confront $84,000, followed by resistance around $85,000 in the Long-term BTC projection. Reclaiming both levels could reopen the $86,000–87,000 zone, where recent advances stalled.
